Stud Earrings

A stud is an earring that features only one diamond or color gemstone in an on-the-ear style. The head containing the gem is soldered directly to the post, which goes straight through the ear, giving the appearance that the gemstone is 'floating' on the ear. Studs are typically secured using either a post/clutch , post/clip, or screw backings. Because of their size and shape, stud earrings are a basic and are great to wear. They go as easily with jeans as a cocktail dress for a more refined, sophisticated look.
