As Tucson’s only Private Jeweler, the number one question I’m asked is: “Why a Private Jeweler, instead of a traditional brick and mortar retail jewelry store or online store?” In my nearly two decade career, I’ve answered this literally hundreds of times. Here, briefly, are the reasons:
1) Significantly lower overhead means a better value for you. Because I don't pay incredibly high shopping center or strip mall rent, nor am I financing a stand-alone building, my expenses are lower than other Tucson jewelers. Because I don't have a staff requiring salary, high commissions, bonuses and benefits my overhead and cost of running my business are lower than all other Tucson jewelry stores. I pass all of these savings on to you, my clients. My diamond engagement ring clients acquire a larger or better quality diamonds for their budget. My wedding ring and wedding band clients marvel at my values.
2) I don't stock loose diamonds, so I don't force inventory on you. When you shop for a diamond at a traditional jeweler, they show you the diamonds they have in stock. It's then their job to try to sell one to you. It doesn't matter if you want a special diamond, a unique cut or color or special shape, they will try to sell you what they have. Since I purposely don't stock any loose diamonds, I don't try to sell any particular one to you.
Instead, we'll have a conversation about your diamond and ring. I'll explain how diamond buying works, ask you many probing questions and show you different displays and diagrams. Together we'll figure out exactly what is the best for you based on your priorities and budget. I'll then hunt all over the world to find three diamonds that match your priorities and budget, all perfect for you. I'll present them and help you select the right one. 3) You are my only priority. Ever notice how commissioned sales clerks at jewelry stores always seem to be looking around you for their next customer? In the middle of your conversation they start to rush you or else or turn you over to another less experienced clerk. When you schedule a one-to-one appointment with me, you are my only priority. You will have 100% of my undivided attention. We will spend whatever time you need for me to explain everything you want to know and be certain all of your questions are answered. You are my only focus, period.
